OUGD406 - Studio Brief 03 - Triangle Shape

To link in with the name 'shaped', we decided to look into which particular shape we could use within our designs. We looked at the architecture of the place the exhibition will be held, Leeds Central Library, and noticed that the roof of the building was triangular shape.





Following this, we decided to look into the meaning of triangles:


-Holy Trinity - father, son, holy ghost

-Upside down - femininity

-Number three - true wisdom

-Emotion, feeling and thought

-Maths and physics - Delta - difference of change

We were intrigued by the link to maths and how this shape represents change. We felt this could link in well along with the architectural element and decided to use this as our main shape within our designs.
