Top typeface: Avenir Black
Bottom typeface: Gill Sans
In terms of typeface choice, I have decided upon Avenir Black. I felt this was a modern and refreshed take on the original font used by Penguin’s original classics collection, Gill Sans. The two typefaces have certain differences but I could see similarities and links between the two, so chose Avenir as a more modern and contemporary take. I also felt Avenir was clear, legible and has great readability, all key elements needed for books and their covers.
