OUGD404 - Booklet Production

After putting all my researched material together along with the colour swatches from the photograph, I printed the booklet onto a standard 90gsm paper stock. Due to a printing and pagination error, the pages were left with a white spine down the middle of each double page spread - this is something that I would rectify in the future after gaining more knowledge on how to properly print.

I then chose a similar colour card to the maroon/burgundy colour I had swatched from the image and decided to use this as a front and back cover in order to bring the booklet together and make it appear more 'finished'.

Again, inspired by geometric design, I used a craft knife to cut a patterned design into the front cover. This allowed for the colour collage to show through the 'window' and give a sneak preview of what is inside the booklet.

Overall I am happy with the way the booklet looks but there are definitely improvements that could be made in order to make the book appear more professional and finished off, such as proper binding rather than stapling and more knowledge of printing booklets.
