After deciding upon our main visuals, we developed this further by playing around with layer effects. We came across one called 'multiply' and decided this looked better than the flat shapes as it overlaid the colours nicely and created a screen-printed effect.
Following on from this, we began to play around with layout and type in conjunction with the triangles. We experimented with placing the triangles in different formats and using the type around it, shown in the poster below.
This idea was also taken through into the wayfinding and we started to play around with the layout of the title and artist's name and how this could be displayed in the space.
We thought about using the triangles as arrows in a directive way, but this could start to blur the lines between the meaning of the triangle and the actual signs.
