OUGD503 - Responsive - Starpack - Creating Logo

To go alongside the brand name/logotype, I felt it would be appropriate to create a small logo that could be used on a variety of products/merchandise to represent the brand.



I started looking into the script/handwritten style of the Abuget typeface and how I could work with this in terms of a logo.

I thought about potentially having the 'R' from the Ristretto as the logo, perhaps inside a circle or shape.

I tried out a few hand-drawn style circle shaped in Illustrator using the pen tool.

  

Once I had the circle idea, I started playing around with the 'R' inside them.




I also played around with the placing of the full logotype inside the circle but felt it was definitely more effective with the one letter 'R'.




Playing around with the logotype and logo on a mockup layout helped me to imagine how it work within the actual branding/packaging.
