The third product I have chosen to create in the Roal Dahl range is the Frobscottle drink from The BFG.
Frobscottle is a drink found in Giant Country, in "The BFG." It is the only known drink to be consumed there. Although there is water for washing, it is unfit for drinking.
Frobscottle is a green-colored fizzy drink, where the bubbles go down instead of up. This is the cause of Whizzpoppers (which are farts). It tastes delicious to Sophie and The BFG and to the other giants as well. It also makes the drinker fly and fart.
The BFG is the first and only Roald Dahl story to feature Frobscottle. Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant both had frobscottle when Sophie asked if there was water in Giant Country. She thought it tasted of Vanilla and Cream, with a faint trace of Raspberries.
I felt it would be fun to have a drink product alongside the other two food products I had produced so far.
After some research into the drink, I started my initial typeface exploration;
I wanted something quite decadent and almost luxurious, so I began by looking at capitalized serif typefaces.
However, during my search, I came across a really interesting and quirky typeface named Quinn.
I was drawn to this typeface because it had a unique and playful edge whilst still being quite formal and decadent.
Due to the decorative nature of the type, I knew this wouldn't be suitable for smaller bits of text, so I decided upon a secondary typeface for the body copy. This was a simple capitalized serif typeface, which again added that element of luxury and grandeur.
*I came up with this brand/product name - Giant Country Distilling Company (giant country from BFG book)
I started playing around and putting a few different elements together to form a label;
