I wanted to go with almost a 70's style 'retro' vibe as I felt this would best fit the visuals of the film etc.
I wasn't sure what would work best, so I started with a few different quick visuals;

I used a still image from the cake scene to see how this would work as a background for the packaging (bottom left shows birds eye view of cake box with window).
I didn't feel like the imagery was particularly working so I decided to go back to some type exploration.

I was really drawn to a particular typeface called 'Wicked Seventies'. I just loved the 1970s retro-ness to this type, and felt it could look really effective on the cake packaging.

I started to explore how this could function on a cake box layout;

Using the flake cake box layout, I mocked up a birds eye view of the packaging to see how much room I had to work with.
I was really drawn to the chocolate mint Bubblicious packaging - I just loved the colour palette used.
I started looking at how I could work with this myself;

Whilst I did like the retro colour scheme, I wasn't sure it was working particularly for the cake box. It was too far removed from the film.
