OUGD603 - Roald Dahl - Spaghetti Further Development

I was doing some research into different types of packaging to try and find something suitable for the graphics I had already designed.

I came across stand up pouches and was instantly drawn to them-



I felt like this could be a fun and quirky way to package the spaghetti.

Once I knew I was potentially working with a portrait rectangle, I started playing around with different layouts;


*experimenting with different typefaces and text styles, adding tomatoes etc





I also started thinking about the back of the packaging and how this could look;



I felt like none of the secondary typefaces were working properly. I decided to resort back to basics with a strong and bold sans-serif typeface, to contrast against the scrawl/script style of the other text.

The small, underlined 'S' added an extra quirky element to the text;
