OUGD603 - Roald Dahl - Cake Net Initial Design

Once I had decided on the colour scheme, I started putting the net together;

Top of box;
*cake to show where window would be. The name of the cake at the top, with 'made with Cookie's real sweat and blood' underneath the window at the bottom. Serves 1 in corner - to emphasize whole cake is for one person!

Left and right panels;

*I used quotes from the film on each side panel of the box. This was almost to 'lure' the buyer in, and convince them to eat the cake.

Front panel;
*The front panel just contains the product name and accompanying line/description. This is the side that would be seen if the cake was on a shelf, so needs to have the key info on.

Back panel;
*Back panel includes product description, ingredients and nutritional info. This is to make the product believable and realistic, as if it could actually be on the market. There are small details in these pieces of text, e.g 'dusty wheat flour' and 'rotten vegetable oil' in the ingredients. How to serve and store allude to the idea that the cake must be eaten in one go by one person. Made at 'Crunchem Hall' - the school in Matilda.

Bottom of box;
*Bottom of box does not contain much info as it would not really been seen by consumer. Barcode and manufacturing info, along with small 'you can do it!' inspirational message. The text on the back is pretty much all quotes from the film, targeting the consumer directly.
