Due to time limits and constraints, I didn't have much time to do some in-depth typography exploration.
After looking at the lines and shapes I had used to create the owl, I already had a typeface in mind - Futura. The way I had designed the logo had already really reminded me of the way Futura looks - sans-serif, clean lines with really round circles for the 'o's.
I started playing around with this and seeing how I could fit it together with the logo.
I felt the type fit really well just underneath the wing, with the name of the school big and bold and the 'Multi-Academy Trust' slightly smaller underneath.
For the colours, I decided to take them from the original logos for both schools, as I felt this was a great way to unite them both as one school together.
I tried out a variety of different variations.
