Using the few different brush script typefaces I had gathered, I started experimenting with them.
I started off with Beyond The Mountains as I was personally really drawn to this typeface and felt it had real potential to work for the logo.
I played around with layout and form, moving the words around to see how they would look in different arrangements. I tried stacked approaches with words on top of one another, putting the word as one long line, and making certain words smaller in order for them to fit together in a block.
I did the same thing with one of the other typefaces, Gloss and Bloom. I loved the more messy, freer style of this typeface. Because of the large flick on the 'W', I had the idea of potentially having the 'by the' hanging off the stem. After some experimentation, I wasn't sure this was working as the words looked too clunky.
I also used Shania & Heinz to experiment with, and I was quite keen on the third design, where the capitals of each letter swirled together.
