I decided that the Beyond The Mountains typeface with the tree silhouette was the best and most effective design, so I wanted to develop it further.
I thought about having the tree overlapping some of the lettering for a bit of a quirky edge. In the design below I felt the tree was overlapping the letters too much.
Here I erased some of the tree shape using layers but it didn't look quite right so decided to scrap that idea.
Below is the design I settled on as I believed it looked most effective and had a nice balance of overlapping the lettering whilst still sitting nicely behind.
I also wanted to see how the design would work inside a circle - I did quite like it but I felt it looked to cliche and average inside the circle - this sort of design has been done over and over again and I personally felt it looked more unique just alone without the circle round it.
