I have decided to do my collaborative brief with my friend Abigail Berry who is a Surface Pattern & Printed Textiles student.
We have chosen to work on a brief together that she has been given based around designing some beauty packaging for an own brand Wilkos range.
Objective
To design a capsule collection of coordinating print designs inspired by one of the SS19 Wilkos trends. Aim to create your designs in a style you feel is relevant to the look and feel of Wilkos products. Choose a Beauty product type you feel is relevant for Wilko and demonstrate how your print designs would translate onto your product choice, for example Wash Bags, Make Up Brushes etc
Surface pattern development
Consider the following:
• Emerging Trends in surface pattern and print and colour
• The look and feel of current Wilkos product
• The different media or techniques which you could use to illustrate these
• Whether this is a placement or a repeat print
• How the design would look on the product
• How the design would work with the packaging of the product
