OUGD504 - Design for Screen - River Island App Research

The River Island app wasn't as sleek as the other two apps on first impression - the first screen was almost cheesy - there was an image of a phone, with the app screen on it - unnecessary and unneeded when you are actually already ON the app.

After clicking 'start shopping' (didn't like that) I was met by a fairly cluttered homepage that had both a top and bottom navigation bar.

I chose the 'women' category and was met with ANOTHER modular grid style layout to display the products - this was kept fairly simple with just the price displayed underneath.

After choosing a product, I was taken to a screen where the image of the product was in the middle, surrounded by other bits of info/navigation bars. I found this fairly cluttered and didn't like all the extra distractions away from the product.
