Over the course of third year I would like to develop my portfolio and base it around packaging and branding. I have a particular interest in graphic packaging, specifically in the food and drink sector. I have already produced some previous packaging and branding work but I feel this is something that could be really pushed, developed and explored fully during this year.
I believe that thorough research into packaging and branding theories will really drive my work forward, and this is something I have already explored within my Context of Practice work. I am really interested in the ways we can use packaging to attract particular audiences to certain products. Learning more about this will be beneficial for my future design work and will help me target my desired audience appropriately.
I plan to reflect on and evaluate my work through blogs and peer crits, which will be useful in terms of future projects and how to approach them better. I would definitely like to get more feedback, more frequently, this year as I do find this extremely helpful in terms of driving my work forward.
In terms of project management, I will be using a timetable to plan out how much time I will be spending on each brief, and the dates I will be working on each project. This will allow me to use my time efficiently and will help me make sense of each project individually.
