OUGD603 - New Choice - Current Market Analysis

I felt it would be beneficial to look closer at the products already available on the market and to see how other brands are presenting themselves.

Clearblue - probably one of the most modern, up to date brands on the market. No1 doctor recommended brand - most popular. Packaging slightly more modern than other brands - blue adds a fresh and calming element. Logo fairly current. Addition of pink - hints towards feminine nature of product.

First Response - similar to Clearblue in packaging style - 'glowing' element to graphics - what could this mean/allude to??? More text on this one. First Response name slightly medical - not personal or friendly. Massive focus on pink.

BFP - very outdated. Curly serif typeface, feminine yet dated. Lilac colour slightly sickly. Leaves graphics - vague reference to nature?? Minimal text.

New Choice - one of the most outdated on the market. Very 80s style. Dated typography and colour way. Potential rebrand??? Lilac and pink stereotypical.

Dollar General - an own-brand pregnancy test - very simplistic, basic graphics, blue colours used. Simple text used.

Equate - another very simple and basic test. Lilac and blue typical colours. More text heavy than other brands. Basic typography.
