The idea for this brief is to design and create the packaging for the chocolate cake eaten by Bruce Bogtrotter in an iconic scene from the popular classic film Matilda.
I felt this brief would be fun and quirky and also links in with my interest in packaging, food packaging in particular.
I would like to imagine how the packaging would look if it were a real product available to buy.
Things to think about;
-Context of film - mention Bruce or not?
-'Cooky' from kitchen - woman who made cake in film
-Mrs Trunchball says Cooky's 'blood sweat and tears' have gone into making the cake - include on packaging?
-'out of this world' - Willy Wonka packaging vibe? -fantasy land
-Quentin Blake's illustrations for the original Roald Dahl books
